Release Note : Automatic retries for failed UPI AutoPay Presentation requests.

Hey Team,

We’ve shipped an enhancement to UPI AutoPay presentation processing, details are given below:

What is new?

Sometimes a presentation request can’t be sent to the bank because of a temporary technical issue, such as a timeout or a brief network or partner-side error.
In that case, Decentro now retries sending the request automatically, up to 3 more times, before marking it as failed. This reduces failures caused by short-lived technical issues, with no action needed from you.

What stays the same ?

The presentation API request and response formats are unchanged. You will still receive presentation_status: PENDING when the request is accepted.
You will receive one final callback, either after the request is successfully sent or after all retries are exhausted. You will not receive a callback for each retry.

If the request still can’t be sent after all retries, you will receive a callback with:

presentation_status: FAILED
error_key: error_provider_after_retries
presentation_status_description: “Exceeded presentation initiation requests”

Note : When this happens, the debit cycle for that pre-debit notification (PDN) is closed. To collect again, please send a new pre-debit notification.

What we need from you ?

If you map Decentro error keys in your system, please add error_provider_after_retries to your mapping.
Apart from this no action required from your end.
