Decentro provides the below capabilities to check if a UPI handle is valid or invalid.

  • Basic check: this allows any platform to use Decentro's capability to validate a UPI handle (VPA). This capability can be used to validate any VPA to check if its valid and to whom it belongs.
  • Advanced check: this allows any platform to use Decentro's capability to validate a UPI handle (VPA) as well as fetch additioanal details. This capability also lets a platform additional details like linked bank account, type of account, etc.

In addition, Decentro allows a platform to leverage penny pull/reverse penny drop to fetch the bank account details without the user having to ask for it. Decentro powers 2 flows with this capability.

  • Intent Flow: this allows any platform to use Decentro's capability to fetch a bank account with consent using UPI collections through any UPI app without having to ask the user to enter the VPA.
  • Collect Flow: this allows any platform to use Decentro's capability to fetch a bank account with consent using UPI collections through a specific app by entering the stated VPA by the user.
