VerifyPay
Validate a UPI VPA via a penny drop
VerifyPay is a UPI VPA and bank account verification method that involves making a small payout to a specific VPA. If the payout is successful, the API responds with the bank account details mapped to the VPA.
Decentro’s VerifyPay capability can be leveraged by completing the prerequisites below:
- Onboarding Configuration: This step would require Decentro to enable Staging and Production access for this specific API for your company (a.k.a the Merchant).
- Please reach out to us at [email protected] if you have any specific queries or [email protected] to get this going!
- Once the merchant is successfully configured, and has integrated with our VerifyPay API, they will initiate the API with the required details:
- The merchant will need to pass the UPI VPA of the end customer whose details that they want to verify, along with a unique reference ID, in the request payload.
- Decentro will, in turn, will initiate the verification process.
- Decentro will respond with the account details, for scenarios where the verification was successful, or with the relevant error key and message.
Please Note: The Account Number will be masked in the API response if you are a non-regulated entity.
